Then I checked out Charlie A'Court on the RavenLaw stage. He was really great to see perform. Good music with a lot of energy put into it, which led to some good photos ;)
snuck a couple shots for them and handed out a few cards so they will know where to look to find them. If you were one of the ones that I snapped a shot of, I am glad you found the image and I hope that you like it! So next up was Lucinda Williams...
At this point, I want to apologize for the crappy blog post.. I'm exhausted and obviously not a blogger.. A more in depth review on the music and everything will be posted on the BeauteOptic blog, this is more just me giving my rundown of my experiences at CityFolk so that I have something to update this with. lol
feel a whole lot more worthwhile doing that if I knew that my followers were enjoying the content that I am providing for them.
Passenger put on an incredible set.. Random jokes, incredible tunes and a good vibe from start to finish. I kinda wish that he had a band with him tho.. Not that he needed it. But 15+ photographers trying to all get shots of 1 single person can be difficult when it comes to getting variety in your images. With that said.. on to Wilco!
These guys were much easier to shoot in terms of space, but the lighting wasn't always on my side. What can you do, that's what makes concert photography something that not everyone can do. It's A LOT more difficult than people think. Anyways.. CityFolk is over.. It's sad, but there will always be other events.. Such as Runway for Hope coming up next Sunday! I want to take a second to thank all of the CityFolk staff, volunteers, musicians, photographers, and all of the fans for getting out of the house and coming to rock out! I hope to see every one of you next year at Bluesfest, CityFolk, and supporting our local music scene at other venues as well.. and again.. Thank you for reading my crummy little blog. I know I am not the best at words, but hey! at least I take pretty pictures?
